Alan Moore is the Rector, or senior minister, at St Andrew's. Alan was born in Brisbane in 1950, and began his working life as a science teacher, graduating from the University of Queensland in 1971 (BSc & Dip Ed). Thereafter he studied for the ministry at Moore Theological College in Sydney (ThL, 1980). He graduated in the Bachelor of Divinity (external student) from London University in 1981. |

Alan was ordained as a deacon (1980) and priest (1981) in the Diocese of Brisbane, and served as a minister at Dalby in southern Queensland (curate, then associate priest) from 1980 to 1984. He then served as rector in the parish of St George from 1984-87, before taking up the ministry at Burleigh Heads, on Queensland's Gold Coast, from 1987 to 1992. In 1992 he was appointed rector of St Andrew's. Alan is married to Judy, and they have four adult children. Alan has various other involvements and responsibilities, including being a member of the Brisbane Diocesan Council. Alan's aim for St Andrew's is that, whether through the Sunday services, other ministries, community involvement, or through the church building itself, people may come to know the good news about Jesus, and respond with repentance and faith in Jesus as Lord and Saviour. |

Rev. Katherine Sutton |

Katherine Sutton was born in Sydney in 1959. She studied social work at the University of New South Wales, graduating in 1983. She studied for the ministry at Moore Theological College, gaining a Bachelor of Theology in 1990 and Diploma of Arts in 1991. |

Katherine was ordained a deacon in the Diocese of Sydney in 1991, and that year commenced ministry as curate at Lindfield in Sydney. Katherine moved to Brisbane in 1994 and served as an assistant minister at St Stephen's, Coorparoo, from 1994 to 1997. Katherine was appointed assistant minister at St Andrew's in 1997. Katherine was ordained a priest in the Diocese of Brisbane in 2001. |
