Both clergy and lay people play a vital role. 
Without either, St Andrew’s could not function.

Churchwardens

Churchwardens are lay people who, with the rector, have special responsibility for the running of an Anglican church. They are responsible for such things as the conduct of services, funds of the parish, and are responsible to the archbishop for the conduct of the rector. More generally the churchwardens, with the ministers, share the responsibility for the ministry of the church.

Parish Nominators

Parish nominators are lay people who have the special responsibility to be part of the selection process to identify a suitable person to be the rector of the parish in the event that the position becomes vacant. They together with the Diocesan nominators and the Bishop form the Presentation Board.

Synod Representatives

Synod Representatives are lay people who have the special responsibility to be part of the Diocesan Synod that meets annually. The Synod is the governing body of this Diocese.

Parish Council

Parish Council are the representatives of the church's members who oversee the work of the parish. They are responsible for such matters as parish funds, annual budgets, salaries, insurance, the repair and upkeep of the church and other parish buildings, community welfare and social justice. Councillors advise the rector and churchwardens and form an important extension of their ministry team.
