Mission, Vision, and Values

Mission

The core purpose of St Andrew’s is:

To proclaim and live the Gospel of Jesus Christ, so that people will gather, know, grow, give and go.

Gather to Jesus Christ and His church through weekly worship services, small groups and activities.
Know and believe in God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and the Bible, God’s Word.
Grow as a community in maturity, unity and numbers.
Give generously and wholeheartedly of ourselves, our gifts and resources in the service of God.
Go as Christ’s ambassadors into our community and the world.

Vision

By the end of 2014 we want St Andrew’s to be:

A healthy, growing, outwardly-focussed Christ-centred community, united in diversity.

For each of the gatherings to be in a healthier state as measured by the NCD survey.
Growth, both corporate and individual, through prayer, word and action, planning and coordination, developing and empowering our people, and ministry to outsiders.
To be an outwardly-focussed Christ-centred body of people, growing and building itself up in love, as each part does its work.

Values

As a body of people, we share the following core Biblical values:

Growth in Biblical knowledge and understanding

Growth as disciples of Jesus
Having a personal relationship with God
Sharing Christ in word and action
Godly leadership
