Church grounds maintenance and cleaning working bees

This ministry is concerned with keeping the grounds and buildings of St Andrew’s South Brisbane looking good as well as being a safe place. It’s a very important ministry for our church and the giving of time, energy and equipment by our volunteers allows us to conserve parish funds as well as encourage friendship and fellowship.

Our working bees are held on the 3rd Saturday of every month starting at 8:00 am with a complimentary breakfast and chat until about 8:30 am, after which we work for about two and a half hours and always aim to finish by 11:00 am. We do all the usual garden maintenance tasks, rubbish clean-up as well as maintaining the equipment and equipment storeroom, and there are cleaning jobs to be done in the buildings.

We are always seeking to encourage people to join us and we welcome any contribution, big or small. Please come along; we guarantee to find you a task for which you’re suited and that you’ll enjoy, and you can leave at any time if you’ve got something else to get to.
