Weddings

While we are still having weddings here at St Andrew’s, COVID19 restrictions are in place.

Weddings are permitted with a maximum attendance of 20 guests, or 100 guests under the Industry Plan, in addition to the celebrant and the couple. Physical distancing (4 square metre rule) and hygiene/sanitising measures as outlined should be strictly followed. It is important, if people are unwell, that they do not attend the wedding.

The following contact information must be kept about all guests and staff for a period of at least 56 days for contact tracing purposes:

  • Full name
  • Phone
  • Email address or physical address
  • Date
  • Time in
  • Time out

If requested, this information must be provided to public health officers. The information should be securely stored, not used for any other purpose and deleted after 56 days.

The following safety measures should be strictly followed:

  • ensuring four square metres per person in enclosed spaces.
  • keeping a distance of 1.5 metres between yourself and others.
  • avoiding all physical contact, including handshaking.
  • suspending catering e.g. food, tea and coffee (does not apply to gatherings up to 20 people).
  • practising good hygiene, including cleaning surfaces (door handles, tables, chairs, books) before and after gatherings.
  • practising good hand and respiratory hygiene.
  • individuals staying away if feeling unwell, even if mildly so.

Our wedding packages include:

  • services of the Officiating Minister
  • Organist on our historic Pipe Organ. The most popular items are Mendelsshohn’s Wedding March and Wagner’s Bridal March. Music at your Wedding.
  • Flowers
  • Church Bells – St Andrew’s has a peal of 6 bells and the bell ringers come in and ring for approximately 10 minutes prior to your marriage and approx. 10 minutes after you are married.
  • Preparation for Marriage
      • We use the PREPARE/ENRICH relationship assessment program which is the premier couple inventory and assessment tool used nationally and internationally. PREPARE/ENRICH will help you:
        • Identify strength and growth areas
        • Explore personality traits
        • Strengthen communication skills
        • Resolve conflicts and reduce stress
        • Compare family backgrounds
        • Comfortably discuss financial issues
        • Establish personal, couple, and family goals

(CONFIRMATION is only upon payment of the booking fee/deposit which is $200. The balance of the fees are required at least 30 days before the wedding day. You can now pay the deposit online from your credit or debit card and set up regular payments to pay off the balance as well.)

The Church Hall has been beautifully restored and is available for drinks and finger food or even a sit down meal.
